ECO on Products
The Government has introduced an Environmental Contribution, also known as Eco-Contribution as a way to alleviate and compensate for activities that in some way negatively impact our local environment. The revenue generated may than be directed towards improving local infrastructure and investing back into projects that help improve the quality of our local environment. A specific return must be completed and submitted to the Malta Tax and Customs Administration reflecting the amount of eco-contribution charged and levied in the respective period.
